Heart Rate Monitor for my wife

The watches, yes. Generally the "female" ones have smaller faces, due to the average size of a woman's wrist being smaller than that of a man's. But for the higher end watches (910 / 920 / 930XT etc) this isn't the case - it's one for all.

thanks but I edited the post as I was referring to the belt itself, my HRM belt works perfectly on me but when my wife uses it it gives very inconsistent readings like in the high 200bpm, and that's during the only 20% of the time when it gives any reading at all.

My wife has exactly the issue. Now she just doesnt bother anymore. What make is it?

You get smaller straps for the ladies,

It goes under the boobies.

Any specific make that caters for woman? Polar? We mostly use Garmin devices and I have never seen any from them?

I am considering a Garmin Forerunner 15 for my wife.

She runs and walks, but wants to take that up a level or two. I am also trying to get her back on a bike, so a new toy might help motivation.

I am not sure what my budget will allow though...

Garmin FR15 is pretty cool and comes in both Men and Lady versions (I'm not sure about the strap though). the eBucks store has them on superspecial at the moment as well, apparently until the end of the year. Definitely worth looking at especially if you have eBucks.

I want to buy one for my mother in law.... but then again why buy shoes for someone that don't have feet ? :whistling:

No ways!!! Thats really funny.

Go for the one with the most comfortable strap and the one least likely to interfere with her sports bra and cause chafing. I prefer my Garmin over my polar as I can put the heart monitor "chip" on the side of my chest and it will still pick up my heart rate.

Disclaimer: I am above average in the chest department and my "over the shoulder boulder holders" tend to be fairly substantial and underwire for support.

So ja that's my woman's perspective - as for the gadgety stuff you have plenty of opinions above ;)

Out of interest, do you use the standard or premium strap?
