And I'm willing to take a bet I'll say the same thing in 12 years time. Like most tools, technology doesn't really pay a part. So buy quality and buy once.

Ended up over tightening the match maker bracket on my brakelever/shifter and breaking it. Road the ultra with my brake lever being held on with cable ties. Never made the same mistake again.
