Carbon forks on a tourer with racks is almost universally condemned as a bad idea, though. Better off with rear racks and frame bags if carbon forks are a must. Tubehunter has also got me thinking of a carbon frame with wider tyres for comfort, but the idea of disc brakes grabs me.
