popcorn_skollie Posted November 24, 2015 Share Anyone with experience on the Rapide R25 650b hoops?Thinking about building a set for a 2014 Trance. The weight, width and price seem really tempting.I also like them plain black as I am considering custom decals.Just wondering about material and construction for an AM setup. Not too worried. I only weigh 63kg. But I also ride like a villain

He said that they are meant for AM riding and that they are very tough. Also, if you look on page 8 Trance Dance said: "I got a set of the rapide wheels. The full wheel, not just the rim. Excellent value for the money. I'm heavy and ride pretty hard, and no problems at all. The rims came with a tubeless conversion and sealed with no problem. It's a pretty stiff wheel and due to the width I've experienced no tire roll. I'm riding on 2.4 tires and on my giant wheels the rear tire would often roll, which is why I changed. The hub engagement is also good and the rims are pretty stiff. " I am definitely still considering them.

I've bought several other components from them before and was always impressed with build quality. Great value for money. Unfortunately inflated prices on just about everything to do with bikes makes us skeptical about component quality when they are as well priced as Rapide. Its refreshing to have a bunch of local ouks sorting us out with proper stuff for less.
