Still working things out  - need to find more speed in places -  but my best run down to date. Thanks to the trail builders for the woodwork on DH3. I now know I was wise not to tackle the big gap jump before it became a table :-)

Yo Tim, try taking the outer line on DH2 - in the first corner, hug the top of the berm and come off on that small rock jump on the RHS. Then instead of going to the outside line on the next corner, come to the middle - it sets you up far straighter for the rest of the run down. I'm still kaaaaak slow on that section, but it's MUCH easier to carry speed on that line than trying to dodge all the rocks.

Very good run, BTW...

Yip, it's substantially quicker.

Also, big balls hitting most of the kickers on DH3, they're not small! Nicely done.

Oh man do i need to ride with you.

I'm still not confident enough to hit every single jump.

Some of those gaps are massive!

But the DH line is definately my favourite.

Which ever bike I'm on.

I'm not sure what the alternate route to dh3 is called after vasbyt.

But there are these too planks that you can ramp off while going down.

The 1st plank haunts me since I only ever did it twice and fell on my second try. Desperately trying to find the courage to hit it again and find redemption.

The second plank is much easier though except for the narrow entry.

I wish they could make it wider.

Any tips?

That IS Vasbyt.

The one that goes windy windy all the way down...

Anyway - I fin Vasbyt more fun that the DH line, as you've got so many more little things to pop off of. DH3 is a BLAST if you just ride it all out, and are looking for a straight run down. But to go fast down Vasbyt, you have to work at it. And you have to be smooth.

Then whats the short bit on top called. At the end of DH2. Starts off with a berm then over the roots into those fun jumps? Always thought that was vasbyt

It is, but Vasbyt extends all the way down. Vasbyt is the XC trail, Dh3 is obv DH3. They share the same entry. After the new tabletop, DH3 hooks off to the right to hug the road, Vasbyt carries on to the left and goes windy windy.

Certain sections lower down are named differently (cape fox or something) but the whole trail is commonly kknown as Vasbyt.

I know you're trying to stir a bit of ***, but you take the line I was talking about (and the one that Duran and Devon takes, which is how I learnt to take it myself)

So yes. In the case of that section, that's the way I'd take.

As for the rest... no fooking clue. Tim is faster than me in pretty much every section on the mountain so ordinarily I'd be following him unless someone infinitely more talented than both of us showed me another line (like in this case)
