I have an entry for Tour de Boland available. I am not going to ride.

Free to a good home, only requirement is that it actually gets used.

I am not sure what the substitution process is so you will need to find out. Contact me if you are interested.

Start was prompt at 8am for age 30-49. Pace was very slow into Franschhoek, the Pass split the group and found myself in the second group. Lots of wind going to Villiersdorp. Breakaway Pro ladies and some Masters caught us! Heat became a factor towards the end. Hoping tomorrow is not as hot as being forecasted.

well done for starting & finishing Today. I do believe it was tough.

So were you glad to be grouped together or would you have prefered to be on your own?

Today was very windy and hot. Tomorrow looks like it's going to be 40 plus, with the climb coming at the end!

Racing was good and clean for the most part, except for a New Horizens rider who held onto a truck all the way up the pass, what a box!

@Milky It made sense grouping them as we were about 100 altogether. If we were 100 per group I think it would make sense to have separate starts.

2nd stage in Vets started in nice quiet conditions. A small breakaway formed early on and stayed away...i think till the end. Pace was high all the way to Mitchells Pass. The heat in Ceres, Prince Alfred Hamlet and the Gydo Pass was intense. Broke a spoke 1,5km from the summit and had to wait 30mins for a spare back wheel from the Star Cycling Team. Thanks guys. The last 25km in 40 odd degree heat was crazy. The lunch spread organised by Carinus and the locals of Op die Berg was amazing. Put back all 3000kJ :)

If this event doesn't get it's timing sorted out I won't be sending a team again.

When results are only posted 3 days after the finish, and they are incorrect it's a bit difficult to gauge what's what.

We ended up winning the Open Team Catergory.

Stage 3 tt from Ceres to Tulbagh via Mitchells Pass was a bit hairy with all the trucks. Otherwise a much needed "rest" day.

Stage 4, 138km from Tulbagh to Riebeeck Kasteel via Piketberg wasn't bad due to great weather and an amazing route.

Last stage from Riebeeck Kasteel to Paarl was fantastic. Botmaskloof climb split the Vets group, finished with the second group. Taal monument climb is definately imv a great way to finish the Tour de Boland.
