Oh this is going to end well...

I have a Tarmac and it's great! Never ridden a Supersix so can't contribute on it. But I was also looking at Cannondale or Spez when I was shopping for a road bike so I know your pain.

Does any of those bikes actually fit you?

I see so many high end race bikes outfitted with long steerers and three packets of spacers to get the rider to fit the bike that I wonder if having the "bike the pro's ride" is worth the chiropractor expense?

Thanks Golefty have seen those before yes where riders are almost in an upright position.

What were the contributing factors in choosing the Spez

It was purely a financial choice in the end for me to go for the Tarmac Pro.

I was shopping for a new bike but a really good deal second hand fell into my lap and it would have been silly to miss it.

Nothing wrong with a more upright position if you are coming from a MTB. That is why I chose a Synapse, for the more upright, comfortable position. Far too many riders chose the incorrect road bike geometry, as they want to "race" thereby forgoing a little more comfort, much like the Scott Spark and Merida 96 riders with riser bars trying to get more upright and comfortable. Like Lefty says it's in the fit.

Assuming all the above options have the same components (or you are only buying the frame)... Evo all the way!*

*I'm extremely Cannondale biased.

Lol Dale, this must be a weird year for you!

I'm crying myself to sleep every night

I'm sure I'll calm down before stage 1 of Tour Down Under when I reach acceptance
