I see so many high end race bikes outfitted with long steerers and three packets of spacers to get the rider to fit the bike that I wonder if having the "bike the pro's ride" is worth the chiropractor expense?

I was shopping for a new bike but a really good deal second hand fell into my lap and it would have been silly to miss it.
CAAD4 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Nothing wrong with a more upright position if you are coming from a MTB. That is why I chose a Synapse, for the more upright, comfortable position. Far too many riders chose the incorrect road bike geometry, as they want to "race" thereby forgoing a little more comfort, much like the Scott Spark and Merida 96 riders with riser bars trying to get more upright and comfortable. Like Lefty says it's in the fit.
