I have just had the boss of the Karkoof Club call me saying that he has had a couple of guys over the last couple of days ducking the system to go and ride without paying ...

I dont know who these guys are, but they are being nobs and are jeopardizing us having events there in the future ...

Not f*cking cool!

Come on guys that not #Enduro hey! :P

Ok also from Karkloof Club boss - If you have parked on or found driving on Sappi land the Karkloof club will be implementing wheel clamping over the weekend.

You can park in/next to the designated areas on the public road to Demagtenburg, but thats it ...

Hey guys and girls

For those of you coming up/down to Karkloof from today onwards ...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ...

If you are going to ride outside of the actual event days - IE Friday! (Or Saturday for DH) ...

You NEED TO HAVE BEEN PAST THE CLUB AND PAID AND SIGNED THE INDEMNITY ...

I had a chat to Steve from the coffee shop at the club in December and he was telling me that they have been having a problem with guys ducking the system and parking all over the show. People are dicks! just saying...

It is a quick shuttle Peach and with riders having to pedal into the start (8 min pedal) there shouldn't be no bottleneck due to riders having to wait for shuttles.

Peach - shuttles will be fine - we have 5 or so vehicles, and the shuttle turn around time is 10 minutes.

The riders then have an 8 minute coast to the start - so a single shuttle can do 2 runs in the time it takes a rider to do 1 run down the track.

Nigel, any noticeable increase in DH numbers since your beginners day late last year at Giba?

Ya for sure ... there are a good couple of guys and girls from that day that went out and got DH rigs (or at least helmets) and will be racing this year.

But also I think the Enduro is feeding new riders through nicely as guys are coming for the weekend, and by having a DH where the whole track, (barring one rock garden and some jumps) is actually easier than the Enduro ... then the guys think about just doing the DH anyway as they are here ....

Also marketing dude - this is the first year we have properly tried to market and promote Enduro and DH together - and I think its working.

Awesome! I would have been there too for the DH but I'm being force to drink copious amounts of alcohol on Saturday night. Will give the DH a try at St. Ives!

St Ives Dh track is also going to be a jol for the noobies - rocky up top then flowing at the bottom with big berms and fun floaters.

But lets get through this weekend first

I intend to drink my fare share at the club on Saturday night... hell I might even double park! All in the name of supporting the club of course :whistling:

Point being, you can drink on Saturday night and ride DH on Sunday. Just don't drink between runs on Sunday...
