Is it not stupidly hot at this time of the year?

personally I would rather race at 7/8am and ride the trails blind than die from dehydration.

TBH, how many people are going to practice the morning of the race if they have to ride up?

Snap!

I am going to rely on the stage preview videos I am hoping will be uploaded here sometime before the race. I'd rather get the race over with early, have a chilled lunch break and get a few practice runs of the DH in before sun down.

That being said, racing after 12h00 is probably set in stone.

Word on the street is Nige will do it this weekend and the vids released next week sometime

The DH preview will only happen later as there are one or two sections that still need some love.

Hopefully I will be able to sneak out there on the 25th to scope the DH and if time allows do a run or two of the outback trails. Keen to show me down the DH track?

If I'm riding that day, I'll be happy to.

Just doing some math here...

If 2 hours is the time that a ride is expected to ride it all in then at 13:30 the last rider should start stage 1. So I assume riders will start at 30sec intervals, otherwise there will have to be 90min-xmin (time riding to actual start of stage 1) = ymin

ymin / 1min intervals = # riders that will finish by 15:30 (with your timing it is less than 90 riders expected)

hehehehe..

That maths is way to complicated for my simple little mind.

I expect the fastest rider will be done in just over an hour. The slowest rider will have 3h30 to get around the circuit. There should be enough time in between those to get everybody around the loop.

We will use an approximately 30 second starting interval, but self seeding, manners and discretion will be needed when selecting the starting order at each stage.

Your personal preferences are noted.

We have to allow time for those who wish to, to do a loop of the circuit on the day. Not everybody can get there before the day and not everybody is comfortable riding a trail they have never seen before.

Regarding the heat......HTFU

Ill wait for you and we can start riding at 13:30

We should still finish in time.

Sounds good, will have to do some low flying to get from pmb to KK in 30mins[emoji28]
