Gonna be awesome! The trails are looking great! Flipping hot in Harties today so pack your sunblock guys and girls...

How sure are you that we can get our numbers in the morning?

Was about to drive to the big smoke to collect...

Fanx! Will see you guys there!

That's the nice thing about advendurance events. Can register on race day, not like other organisers where we have to trek all the way over to cycle lab during work hours to spend 2 minutes getting a number and bottle of bubble bath. Iv said it many times before, Advendurance know how to organise a race!!!

We went real slow so Im still feeling good.

I must say I really enjoyed it and it was very well run Was just hot, I was sweating hiding under a gazebo before we even started.

How did you get on?

That was an awesome day out.

Run was technical and fun (same as last year) - mtb seemed to have a little more climbing and some gap jumps that caught out a few people!

Advendurance had this one waxed - nicely done chaps!

Damn that Conrad Stolz being in my age cat

Twisted my ankle badly at 2.8km into first run leg. From there it was 'hell' & 'vasbyt'... Managed a 2:35 - 10min slower than last year. Wanted to beat time this year, but after the incident knew that's not gonna happen. Strugled with ankle during last run - 18min vs 13min last year on same route :-(

Anyway, incidents happen, no excuses. Hakahana remains a tough area; run, mtb or dualx... It's not easy. Luckily I know most of the routes, so could push through to the finish.

Now leg on ice... Badly bruised and swollen; hopefully nothing more!

Long wait to the next one. But Sabie classic in 2 weeks; hopefully ankle recover nicely.

First event for me, did the half to see what the level would be, must say it was a good mix of tech and jeep track.. Heat was hectic but very keen to take the step up to the full in June! Believe I came in around 1h15.. Anyone know where / when the official results will be up?

I did the 1/2, but with no previous SAS ranking I started in the last batch. Managed to struggle through the crowds (without pissing anyone off) to finish 22nd overall. Not too bad

My first DualX...

Was a good day out, a little toughie, it was!

Having last ridden Hakahana at TrailSeeker year before last, the climbs brought back some kind of memory / nightmare...

Next time I'll try do more than 2 runs training over the last month and a bit... :D

happy with the 2h32, the heat out there was crazy! kinda looked forward to the headwinds to blow a little air into your face.

Would definitely suggest that the events that are in summer start earlier, even going off at 8 this morning, it got hot really quickly.

Otherwise loved the route!

and as for that hosepipe at the finish!!! what a winner!
