Bubbles_25 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Does anyone have a route map and profile or a link to one? I'm not really familiar with the area and want to see what I'm in for before I decide to enter.
SeaBee Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 It's on the Paarl Rotary site - interactive maps and all. http://www.paarlrotary.co.za/bouckaert-soenen-road-and-mtb-cycle-race.html
Johny Bravo Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Flippen nice route the 47mtb. Loads and loads of climbing.

NixM Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I am assuming we can collect numbers on the morning of the ride? Website says number collection 9 - 12 on 24th at CWC.
Wannabe Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I am assuming we can collect numbers on the morning of the ride? Website says number collection 9 - 12 on 24th at CWC. Already phoned them, Lady said no Number collection on Sunday. Gotta go to CWC on Saturday from 9-12.Which is strange, because I collected my little round sticker last year at the race. They had tables set up behind the Pavillion.

Thanks Wannabee, that's really irksome how can you still register on the day but not collect numbers on the day?
stratus5 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Website says we use our PPA numbers, so no collection required?
NixM Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I also just called to tell them I think that's ludicrous. A very confused person initially said no number collection on the day but later said if I don't mind queing then I can collect on the day, like Wannabe said we already have our number boards so what is just picking up a sticker. I am going to take a chance and rock up on the day.
Jaco-fiets Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Surely this is a normal PPA race? Why do you have to go register at CWC? Must be a mistake somewhere

Jaco-fiets Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 To get more feet into CWC's doors !? Costing me a drive from wellington to durbanville to pick up a bloody sticker. I am phoning the PPA offices and if this is the case they can royally go **** themselves

Jaco-fiets Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Well on the PPA site when you go into the race heading it says nothing about nr collection. States riding with PPA nrs. There is something that the top 80-100 riders entering before 20 Jan will be invited to take part in a special race starting 10min before the others. Maybe the nr collection is for them. They can enjoy their little private race
