XX1 Cassette Lifespan

I have gotten 3000km out of my XX1 Cassette

The big ring is completely poked. My 32 Chaining is toast too.

I should have replaced the  chain  earlier very foolish of me and probably the chainring.

As a matter of interest I would like to know the mileage other hubbers have obtained from an XX cassette.

Good question, would like to know too. I know one or two guys who've downgraded to X1 cluster because they say its more robust and longer lasting. Slightly heavier obviously.....

Some guys buy 2 or 3 new chains and then swap them out monthly so they all wear in at the same rate. The idea is to get more milage from the cassette this way. Keeping the chain clean and well lubed also helps

I have 4 351.3 km (exactly) on my XX1 cassette in 10 months of hard riding and racing. The cassette is still in excellent condition with minimal wear and is good for a few more thousand km's

I do 3 things.

1) replace the chain every 700 - 1000km ,depending on how much wet weather I have been riding in, or how much hard racing.

2) I clean the chain well after every ride and apply a little smoove lube.

3) I am conscious to shift smoothly and have mechanical sympathy.

I do the above and get excellent distance from my cassette and rings. No time and need to hassle with running 2 or 3 chains in rotation.

But i do run shimano, never had the slightest thought of a SRAM downgrade
