It a normal Bantam bakkie.  I asked Siri to take the photo (she just burst out laughing), while grabbing my steering wheel with one (and one palm), two knees and 14 teeth

The point is these guys are 1. Wrecking our image on the road, and 2. an extreme danger to themselves and others.

Isn't Siri a pornstar?

Had a student riding on the side walk. No hands and just decided to cross the road without looking left or right.  I know it is cool to sit with your hand folded on your bike, but think at least.  These guys are organ donors.  Was without his helmet as well.

I know they are a blank slate, but being cast on a slate to be prepared for a burial, is not worth looking cool.

dude you are really new to this by posting a pic of someone riding without a helmet whilst you are clearly taking a photo from the drivers seat in your car...  how many hands did you have on your steering wheel??

PS he is riding well within the yellow line in a broad shoulder with a very good road surface.  I think he'll be perfectly fine!

Edit:  The part of riding over an intersection is obviously dangerous and worthy of a darwin, but the picture doesn't show that.

To me there is a difference between a kid who rides a bike to school or work and someone who gets on his bike at 17:30 and train for a race or fitness sake.

The public might not see it that way I know, but it is like arguing that drivers in amg Mercedes' are pigs because the either drive without safety belt or just one hand on the steering wheel.

Remember some kids get a bike to go to the gym or school, they do not write a learners test regarding road rules or safety rules, and parents have a duty to teach them right and wrong, which seldom happens I believe.

I further believe that there is an extra burden on cyclists who participate in cycling events to set an example for others.

If I was the parent of the( I assume) kid I would be offended by  this thread.
