Tumbleweed Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 what discs are you running on your bike? guess who didn't read the first post properly!sometimes, if the axle isn't seated firmly (ie the qr is clamped tight enough), the whole wheel will tilt to one side. so it will spin freely while there's no weight on the bike, but shift as soon as you ride. also have a look to make sure your rotor isn't out-of-true (as i discovered last week with mine). holy roller2008-03-25 05:06:49

About 4km into my first ride, I felt as if I had cycled 50km, and was almost cramping. I thought it was just that I was unaccustomed to steep gravel climbs. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the brakes did not release the disc 100%, so the wheel did not spin freely and there was always some (at times a lot of) resistance. The wheel spun fine before the ride. At one stage actually had to get off the bike and push home in "limp mode". That was awesome. Is this a case of incorrect setup from the bike shop or is there a product fault, or maybe even an owner fault? The braking system is Formula Oro.[/quote'] They're supposed to be like that.
