for those that work horrible hours, that's a backhanded comment. Tell me then, why must the AGM be the only forum to get proper feedback (wtf does that mean to begin with?) and offer constructive advice?

while the backhands are at the ready, what's the new promises made at this AGM?

Back handed comment? Obviously not everybody can get there but given the attendance at the meeting last year brought in, at a guess, at least eight times as many as this year then I doubt it was all down to the majority working late.

As for the feedback - people had questions that were answered (some well some not do well) right there and then leaving no room for error in interpretation.

1- Better Communication (I'm part of this)

2- Better Communication

3- Better Communication

4- Working within the new framework and building a proper trail management plan (incl new trail)

5- Holistic needs (security worries, working within the plan as Sanparks have laid out for the precinct etc)

Various other things, which should be laid out in the next day or 2 when Dan releases the minutes of the meeting.

I actually nearly got lost on the way there. As far as I recall Cap most people with a question got it answered and loads was shared re the position with Parks. Lots to be positive about. We just need to give our support to the committee.

Oh - there was also a list of "difficult questions" (as SANPARKS referred to them) which we (MTB Public) are charged with putting together and presenting to them so that we can better understand their position and goals.

The list will be made public, and can be added to, so if you have a question that you think Parks can / need to answer, then you can add it to the list.

Thi swill also come in the next few days.

i'm not advocating not supporting any one. where did that interpretation come from? jeepers.

anyway, i resent snotty comments about ppl not showing up, especially the follow up bs about last year's vs this year's numbers. What a load of ***. honestly.  Mark woulda been better to just apologise and move along.

getting answers here or there: it should be no different. This place and time specific condition for 'good answers' is a load of manure. I hope the 'special responses' were all documented so the rest of us 'slackers' can finally get a clue as to wth is going on. Or must we wait till next year's AGM?

Sorry Cap, just giving feedback as to how I saw the discussion going down last night. Certainly didn't mean to imply that the committee couldn't count on your support.

You really want to go after me over that?

Do it in person when we next meet up mate, not on here, because in person is always better.

here's where it happens. here's we it should end. why drag this on? really Mark. unless of course you dont agree about it all being unremorseful nonsense? if that's the case, honestly there's nothing to discuss here or anywhere.

I have to agree with you here Cap.

I couldn't be at the AGM either because I was stuck in Joburg. ( I was at last years one).

Getting "proper" feedback shouldn't be dependent on being at the AGM, it should be on a continual basis throughout the year, not just "special" occasions.

Anyway, I'm going to catch my flight, and see how this blows up when I land
