No lines and cyclists think it p*ss motorists off season. Come on folks, lets be considerate. Its like argust out there already.

TO my surprise motorists were extremely patient if somewhat annoyed.

I reckon at least 50% of cyclists I see on a Sunday morning fall into the "stupid" category.

 

So many people riding 2 or 3 abreast down Main Rd. And then they get aggressive when cars drive close to them.

Yoh it was terrible this morning. Going up chappies from Noordhoek side and people were riding all over the show....Some of the nedbank kids riding close to the middle line, and when I said they should keep left I got a few not so nice looks and words. 

 

As stated earlier, I too cannot wait for argus season to be over so the roads can be more quiet.

those clowns using the whole road up Chappies during busy season don't realise they are sharing the road with idiotic motorists Whose only objective is to get up the hill, so they overTake over the solid line, directly into the face of descending cyclists. COME ON FOLKS, USE YOUR HEADS, IF YOU GOING TO BLOCK THE ROAD DO A PROPER JOB!!

This again - ie tragic deaths and the debate. There were two real pillock drivers who called in. One woman who was adamant cyclists should be banned from certain roads - she paled into insignificance to the "contractor" who thinks cyclists should be banned from Chappies and anywhere there is a hint of road works. He complained that cyclists held him up on Constantia Rd near the neck during rush hour nogal...

 

I maintain that dumb or reckless as some riders are, very few of these dumb or reckless acts are the cause of the fatalities. The fatalities are caused by drivers who simply drive as if the cyclist does not exist. My wife commutes about 4.5 km each way to work every day and she has some stories. Its a full time job staying alive on a bike...

I am ashamed of how some cyclists behave on the roads.

When fellow cyclists think it's cool to post go-pro footage on thehub of them going up one-way roads, jumping red lights, riding on pavements, riding without helmets, riding in the dark sans lights etc, WE HAVE A BIG PROBLEM.

.

How many taxis did you witness breaking the law before reaching the conclusion that ALL taxi drivers break the law, drive recklessly etc? Think about it, how many? 

.

We have reached the tipping point with regard to cyclists on the road - the okes out there riding like they just don't care have poisoned it for the rest of us.
