Even though I luv my downhills and singletracks I think the Anthem is going to be the better bike for me
TrailWarrior Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I went from a 26er and being tall (1.89m) to 29er and was skeptic about going down to 27.5. I must say as all have said, both bikes have their advantages and disadvantages and that will also come down to the type of riding you do. As I have got older, I have now moved into longer endurance rides and races and all sorts of terrain and I will not swop my Trance for anything.

No - just a lighter wheelset and tyre combo. Headshot XC'd his Reign a while ago - those stock giant wheels are now a semi respectable weight, but if you're prepared to lose on the tyres and go for something lighter and tubeless (think racing ralph / rocket ron etc) then you'll be smiling.

Same thing. Or - remove a travel spacer if the fork allows it.
