HowardSteele Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I've used the generic alternatives to the brand names for years and the only difference isI've found are the cheaper alternatives seem to last longer.using the Quaxar pads on my Xt brakes at the moment ...a third of the Shimano price...ok they don't come with the plastic cooling fins..

dman2 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Very expensive yes... it is scary what some of the stuff costs. especially a item like brake pads etc. not to mention tyres... I also had to buy brake pads recently and nearly died... I will never buy brake pads again. I have decided not to brake at all anymore.
