My parcel containing all its Ritchey, Park, Ryder and BBB goodness got split up into multiple boxes when I imported it. The international tracker gave me odd reports about where they all were but one of the boxes showed up on the SAPO page as being at Parklands so I headed over there expecting to only get the workstands and wait a few weeks for the rest of the stuff… if ever. I walked in to the Parklands branch, was helped straight away by a friendly lady who, even though I didn't have a collection slip with me, took my tracking number and retrieved the parcel immediately. Another SAPO worker overheard my name and said she'd seen multiple other boxes addressed to me. The online store had addressed the others incorrectly to my old address in the area and this woman just saved me never receiving them purely by spotting and remembering my name. Not only did I collect all parcels on the spot, I was out of there within 10 minutes and they offered an assistant with a trolley to get all of the items to my car. Seriously, the whole process was… really pleasant.

I have taken it to extremes, but that's because in a small dorp, you can. ( I get a call when my parcels arrive) I pity those who have to deal with impersonal huge striking post offices.

deanbean Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 I've a good relationship with my PO staffers. I'll be in the queue, and when i get to the counter the auntie has dissapeared, and she'll come back with my parcels, just having seen me. They know that I take no cr@p though.
