Gopro hero 3 silver?? HELP

Hi guys I am looking to buy a gopro for general mtb.

What I want to know is:

*What is your experince with the camera?

*How is the quality?(video,photos,battery life ect.)

*Are there places that can still fix the camera if the warenty is over?

*And anything else you think I should know?

NukeproofPeanut has one, and I have the Hero 3 white.

 

I can tell you that the silver has much better colour saturation, the footage from the white looks washed out by comparison.

 

Not sure about out of warranty repairs though.

I can't really remember but I think the battery life has been 1.5 - 2 hours, but if you only record the exciting sections of trail or enduro stages then it's plenty.

I would like to buy the battery that is used in the hero 3+ because 'apparently' it lasts longer.

 

Other than that, it's very good. Can't compare with the newer models (have only owned this one). Don't think the quality is (much) less than the Hero 3 black. Would like to have the 4, but not going to go through the trouble of selling and buying soon...

I have a the 3 black and its awesome. Battery life isnt super long but the batteries are small and you can carry a spare with you easily.

The image quality is really good, its hard to believe that something that small can take such good video.
