My exact feelings of how I experienced the tour described here by daniele. All I can add that if it wasn't for our team's back up vehicle I would not have made it to day 5.

You guys had a back up vehicle, we just relied on the really nice guys from Oryx and when we caught the ladies each day the awesome guys from Daly Jaguar to spare us some water. We embraced that part of amateur team a little too much.

I remember on day 3 a certain team in white and blue were swapping half empty bottles with their team car every 5km as the juice was a little warm.

I remember those guys, they were the same team who shared their water bottles with everybody else. By Day 3 they were the unofficial bottle supplier to several teams, and time split givers. They also gave their last water away to a competitor while the two of them tried to chase the leaders down between the two passes...

On Day 4, that lekker hot one, they gave ALL their spare bottles (10) away to other teams meaning that they actually ran out water themselves, they even had more teams toss empty bottles at their driver and asked him to fill it up for them, which he gladly did.

What knobs.

Kudos on the great work, next year we will try be a little less amateur :D

Hey it was my old mans good heart. If it was up to me, I would have let you all die. Winning is winning :P

and PS: If one Team DIDNT look amateur, it was Pure Savage.

Perfectly matched kit, matching podium caps, matching shirts, perfectly planned and practiced TTT, full time Social Media blogger, photographer, and your support driver was much better looking than ours :P

Check these pros!

If you do #hammer #savage intervals on those commutes, I dont see why not.

You Savage guys are all "Pro" why not come show that mazing #savage teamwork in the real racing categories?

Hey! How old do you think we are!!! [emoji23][emoji23]

We would have to ride against de bod etc at the tour of good hope.

We did however finish with the the same times as the vets on most days at TOGH.

Shot for the concern though [emoji1303]

I am actually surprised that ASG has not replied or responded to all the queries raised about this event. They are normally very active on TheHub and quick to advertise. Not a good show ASG

My bet is that someone makes an announcement in a few weeks time announcing the Tour of Cape Town, replacing the Tour of Good Hope, running from 6 - 10 March 2017, hosted by PPA, with Racetec doing the timing for the event. ASG will then come and cry fowl, as PPA 'stole' their time slot.

The timing/water/registration issues as unnecessary as they were are explainable, not acceptable, explainable.

What leaves me completely speechless, flabbergasted is probably the right word, is the fact that ASG Events has yet to stand up, and say "hey sorry guys we messed up, this is what we are doing about it, this is when we will have it fixed". Is beyond disgusting!

You took people's money!! You OWE them, get that in your head. You are not doing your clients a favour by hosting an event, you OWE them delivery, you OWE them a response. They paid you, we are your CLIENTS. Where is your pride?????

Its amazing how vocal you are when you are promoting products, or pushing sponsors, but when you make a royal mess of it, you go quiet. It’s not like you are not active, or aware of this, you are tweeting and retweeting all the positive tweets, commenting on the few positive Facebook comments, but nothing on the tougher questions.

Ignoring people will not make them go away. I will not grow bored of this.

Grow a pair of balls and take responsibility for your non-delivery.
