Are Look and Wellgo cleats compatible?

Hi there, 

 

I have a set of Look Free Arc PED009 pedals for my road bike.

Whilst digging around in my bike box, I found a pair of Welgo R4 pedals that weigh 100g less than the Looks.

So my questions are:

1. Will my look cleats work with the Welgo pedals? 
2. If you had both sets of pedals, which are the better ones to use?  ie is one clearly superior to the other.  The Welgo's win on weight but appear to be an older kind of pedal.

The Look's 'look' better amd are ultimately a better pedal imo. You will find the Look's are more secure.

From what i remember the Wellgo pedals used a metal cleat and Look were all plastic.

 

I'd use the Looks.

I've had exactly the same pedals in your picture and cannot say that either is any better than the other. They both do exactly the same thing.

 

I kept the Looks and sold the Welgo with a bike of mine because the colour of the looks suited my new bike.
