Runbikeswim Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 If you had a choose which would you get : 2015 Giant anthem x 27.5 1 or 2015 Giant Trance 2 ( the anthem is 5K more ) and why ? The anthem is better specked with some XT vs. the Trance with SLX, however the Trance has the nice travel and slightly more aggressive Geometry as well as the cheaper price. I do mainly XC, but loved the “confidence a trance 2 gave me over an anthem ( I rode 2014 models)

GoLefty!! Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Really depends on what you want them for. If trail riding is your thing then the trance. If marathon is your thing with occasional desire for some knarly stuff then anthem. But best of both worlds is anthem sx

Sephton Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Also remember to consider the quality of suspension, not just the travel. The Trance 2 has entry level Evolution series CTD while the Anthem 1 has Performance series shock (mid range) and Factory series fork (top of the range).

Runbikeswim Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 Sold a 2014 trance 2 to get a cheaper hrdtail with other plans in mind that didn't work out so went back and got a 2015... so chuffed.

Mr X Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I do mainly XC =Anthem. The Anthem SX is great but overpriced compared to the Alu 1.
