Specialized epic comp

I have owned the bike mentioned and some other siblings from the same stable. We never got on well.

The advise I provide to any prospecting buyer is to get the bike that best suites their riding and technical ability.

As someone starting off and not looking to shave a few minutes off their 90km Saturday morning ride, you would be better suited with something more forgiving for a ride with friends.

The Brain is absolutely worth it. You set it up and you never have to think about it again. The way it adapts to terrain is amazing. When you get out of the saddle even on a steep clmb the traction is just amazing.

And no more getting to the top of shill out of breath and forgetting to unlock the suspension, it all happens automatically.

It is more expensive to service but absolutely worth it.

I love mine.

For me it's worth it. There any many great suspension designs but the brain is the only one that gives hardtail like out the saddle acceleration. If you just sit and cruise along there are better options.

Me too.

I have an Epic Comp with Brain on front and rear suspension.  Bought it on advice from an doctor treating me in ICU after I forgot to unlock the fork last year.

I rode into a rock garden with a locked fork in Jonkies after a single track climb.

Just paid for the major service.  It was expensive.

I told Bobby Behan last week at Ride In, even though it hurt the pocket, it felt good paying it cause it was worth every penny!
