Hi Hubbers,

I got a 10 sp XT clutch type RD to replace my 9 sp XTR rd (up for sale soon) and its now got a bracket attached to it that is confusing my non mechanical minded brain.

Is it it as simple as bolting this new bracket part onto the drop out where my old rd was bolted onto or am j missing something with this new bracket?

As I understand it, it is direct mount meaning you dont need a drop out of you have direct mount compatible frame???

Thanks

I understand better with pictures, thanks. Attach the b-link on the RD to the drop out on the bike. Is there then movement where the b-link attaches to the rd?

Yes the RD does pivot on the link, perfectly normal.

Cool. Final question: at what angle does the b-link attach to the frame drop out or is there only one way ot fits on?

Yes, there is a tab on the link and the drop out has this step. Ok cool, will check it tonight. Thanks for all the help.
