5.2 –5.8 wperkg at threshold.

 

TOP VETERAN AGE 30-39( same weight)(ARGUS 3HR is 4.3wperkg)

5.0-5.5wperkg

 

 

TOP VETERAN AGE 40-49#

4.8-5.2wperkg at threshold

 

TOP VETERAN AGE 50-55

4,2- 5wperkg

Rather than hours/week, these are the numbers you need according to a former pro, Vets racer and now coach.

Agree with bianchisti that w/kg is better number to use as benchmark than hours training. A genetically gifted athlete putting in 6 hours training will beat an average athlete training 10 hours in my opinion.

 

Note the word "top" in the figures quoted though as well. I think the midpack/not getting dropped consistently guys are at least a good 0.5w/kg-1w/kg lower than the numbers above.

 

Its not just numbers though, its also being able to read race, position oneself etc
