My budget is R5500 max. Titan CruzLycan Orvin VX1 Beta (Not to sure about this one)Axis A60 (2013 Model)Mongoose Switchback The above bikes are all in the R5000 to R5500 mark and is what i can afford. I live in durban so any shops you guys know of would also be great. Thanks for any advice.

Maniax Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Check the Hub. There are bargains to be had. My first bike was a bargain off the Hub. You'll find a better bike here that fits your budget than new in an LBS.
bertusras Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I went through this exact exercise two/three months ago. Also had a budget of R5500, which I stretched to R7000 and scored a Silverback Sola 2. Rather save a bit more, wait a bit longer, and you will find what you are looking for!

Thanks for any advice.Try the folks at Urban Cycles, they sell used bikes, chances are you will get better bang for your buck there. Urban cycles is the "used bike" shop owned by Greg Alberts who also owns Cycle Sphere. Personally I would buy good used as opposed to new. Much greater value.
