Roof Rack

And then watch evertime you use underground parking, remember over/low hanging trees and best of all, your garage door height. [emoji33]

Another one for towbar. Cost me R2500 for a towbar for my wife's Audi from TowbarSA. No worries with low hanging branches and garage doors.... Goes without saying that the Thule was probably my best cycling purchase to date.

Thule Raceway. That's the one to get. I have one for my car. Fits nicely, easy to mount bikes (I haven't tried a full Susser with a spark/epic type shock but can't see it being an issue really.

It's light, takes 2 mins to fit and doesn't scratch even if the car is dirty. It's almost the best money I've spent on cycling "extras"

I have a Saris bones clip on and its awesome. Takes very little time to fit and is very sturdy.

Like Droenn says though there is no security, the carrier and bike can easily be stolen.

Had it done any damage to the paint or any dents to the boot?

I cannot fit a tow bar to my car and cannot use a clip on type either, loving my roof rack, take me less than a minute to put two bikes on while i sit and laugh at mates spending 10 minutes to fit one bike to a rear hanger rack....

If you cannot remember the fact that you have your bike on your roof, then really you deserve to take damage, in most cases when the bike is on the rack you will be going somewhere to cycle or be coming from somewhere so it really isn't rocket science. for branches you simply need to be spacially aware of how tall your vehicle becomes with equipment attached

Oh, and i have a clip on type from when i had a sedan, and it ended up scratching the paint where the clips went onto the panels, and marking the paintwork, as mentioned above, a clip on rack is not great on a dirt road and your bike WILL sway, on your roof rack you are golden
