What a tough day out there today, block head wind for 150kms. Corrugation like it was going out of fashion, if you were on a HT, I feel sorry for you. Managed a time of 7:35.

I ride everything on a hardtail, this is one of the easier rides. Came in 25th place, just like last year. My time was 25 minutes longer than 2015, then again so was the winning time. Not sure if doing this on flat pedals with tekkies had an influence on my performance though. 

 

Really helped that I knew what was coming and I am looking forward to doing this again in 2017. I hop the number of participants will increase, in 2015 there was 81 finishers as opposed to this years 64.

 

Please don't let this die like TransKaroo did.
