Ti-ny Posted June 1, 2015 Share Hi i have a choice between a Spez alu Hardtail. Reba fork 9spd slx groupo or the Gt Zaskar carbon frame with Reba and 10spd sram and Dt swiss wheels. Bort are xl 29ers. The spez is 2009 for about 10k and the GT is 2013 for 15k. Im a 125kg but wilk cut down to about110kg. Paul Ruinaard Posted June 1, 2015 Share GT sounds the better buy. At 125kgs it doesn't matter what the cogs are like now cause you will be changing them often. Check the wheel set - cause at that weight you need to be careful. You can't afford to play around with weight weenie wheels and have them collapse on you. Now I'm not saying you're fat but... Okes your size (and mine) were on the outside limit of what bicycle designers were thinking about when they started designing these things.
