cpelser Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Waiting for the Gurus to respond.Okay, so I guess the Guru's have responded Have updated the original post with some of the items mentioned, but in general the verdict is: AC Wide Lightning for the wider rim and lighter weight. Best suited for the lighter guys if they also want a wheel that is "bomb proof" Flow Ex on Hope for the guys that want to lift a hippo and take a 2m drop.Apparently your grandchildren's children will still try and kill the Hope hub.. My honest verdict: I'll go with whichever I can get at a good price, each has their own awesome attributes, neither has obvious weaknesses.

But will be stronger.
mtbride Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 The flow EX on hope won't even be that much heavier... But will be stronger. Wide Lightning 1569g vs Ex Flow with Hope 2 hubs 1871g
the nerd Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Wide Lightning 1569g vs Ex Flow with Hope 2 hubs 1871gExactly. Take a dump. Jog on the spot for 5 minutes. You will have the hopes and flows for a long time after you would have chucked the AC's
BarryH Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Ok let me also dump in this heap. I weigh between 115 and 120kg's depending. I have Flows on the back and WTB i23's in front (only because I used my Land cruiser to "modify" my WTB i23 back wheel against another car. I do drops and ramps, easily a meter high (at least in my mind), and all are good and solid. pushing hard in a corner I am still weary, must also mention here that I only recently came from 26" with Red Metal fulcrum xl wheels, so my comparison is very different. The flows are good and strong, if the weight bothers you, take a dump before you go and ride.
Beefy Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Exactly. Take a dump. Is that wrong?

Is that wrong? Not totally wrong but say for example one wheel is 10kg and one is 1kg that's gonna make a difference. But for eg 1045g and 1099g not gonna make a huge impact.
