eccc whippet Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 Another lesson learnt...when you negotiating the anthem deal...make sure you understand the difference in tyres....dont just assume the "tubeless ready" are ok...save yourself the extra cost for them to do the tubeless conversion...unless you gona fit the correct tyres. Wheels and tyres are expensive. I am gona clean out the tyres and fit a liner as i had in my revel...a whole lot less hassle...at some stage when i upgrade...i will fit better wheels...correct tyres and go tubeless. Cheap gets expensive...when you have to keep topping up or get punctures at the most inconvenient of times.

Refit tube and liner if you want but a dose of fresh sealant every 3 months will keep a 'tubeless ready ' tyre going at lower overall cost than tossing it and replacing with a tougher one.
KarlvN Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Just some info... a 2014 Anthem x cost me around 21k, the 2015 was 23 got a quote yesterday on the 2016....31k! ZAR/USD is knocking bike prices. Oh and these prices are from a dealer I know and obviously below RRP, so expect other dealers to come in at around 35-37K. Some LBS's in CT have the 2016 Anthem X for 31/32k

Carried over my custom hope/flow wheelset with brand new Maxis cross marks from previous bike. Will try Saguaros eventually if not sold. Looks very nice though.
