How long are you here for Sammajoor?  Remember you saying you will be doing the Bela Bela as well.

Yes I am flying down on the 20 May and flying back 11 June

You talking to someone regarding tax?

Careful how long you stay here for 3 consecutive calendar years

Dit gaan oor die hoeveelheid dae wat jy in SA spandeer voordat jy hier belasting betaal wanneer jy oorsee werk, praat met 'n belasting spesialis om uit te vind hoe dit werk

Niether Calendar year or Tax year matters, so long as you are out of the country more than 183 days in any 12 month period, and one period is more than 62 days, your earnings are notr taxable in SA.  Download  Tax interperation note 16 from the SARS website.

Are you ready?

Ready or not, this is my favourite race, and so I WILL be doing it again. I usually book accom for a bunch of people and as not everyone always can make it, I sometimes have spare rooms/beds. Give me a pm if you are struggling to find something.

Northgate Lodge (5km from town) has 1 family unit available, the unit sleeps 6 if anyone's interested. (They phoned me today and I was on their waiting list, but I confirmed accommodation elsewhere last month.)

i had a good look at the race profile today...

stage 1 starts with a mother of  a climb. it usually takes me a good 20km before i'm nice and warm. what to do? that first climb is going to seriously hurt.

then stage 2 & 3 looks okay and the you can maybe make up some time.

but, then stage 4 with 150km in the legs that las ten you have a nasty climb again.

i think i'm gonna cry.Cry

Zoo  Stage 2 is fast with more than likely a tail wind. no problem there.

Stage 3 can be a female dog, as the climbs start gentel but are long. the get progressively steeper and shorter. In June the wind often turns after lunch so pray that it does this year once again. Stage 3 with a headwind is not nice.

Beware of any hill with a name.   Otto's Hoogte is a toughie but has a lovely down into town.
