I somehow hope that Purito gets the win, but won't be sad if it is Dumoulin in the end. On second thought, I don't know if I can take Aru's crying face again, so maybe he should just win it and spare us the sight

Aru looked vulnerable today at the very end.  I believe he has burnt too many matches already to be competitive at the end of the tour.  Quintana still has not recovered from his illness, but watch him next week if he is still in touch with the leaders.

Aru will go for a blood test to see "what's wrong" and come back super strong!

Considering this is the Spanish grand tour... and Purito's cult status in Spain... and the fact that he still hasn't won a grand tour yet... and that this might be his last opportunity ever... and considering the fact that he was even asked to design stage 11 (a stage he designed himself for himself)... and there are 9 new summit finishes this year that have never been in the Vuelta before... that this whole Vuelta is pretty much tailormade for him (including today's huge stage)... and that he didn't really ride super hard in the TDF (looked to me like he was using it for training for this tour)... considering all of that... who else is getting the feeling that it seems people have come together to try and get Purito that elusive grand tour GC win?

Look, I won't hold it against him. I will be super happy if he does win - he's a little legend and I've always been a supporter.

But jeepers, has any other grand tour been designed around one rider like this one has?

I couldn't agree more. Dig the oke, but asking a contender to help design the route? Hmmmmm
