The head of my floor pump broke. So I went looking for a new one and found this on CWC. What is it and what do I use it for.

Its a pump adapter head. But that all it says.

I'm guessing here big time, but it looks like a replacement head. The barbed ends press into the pump tubing, whereas the knurled ends need to be pressed over your tyre's valve. The hole size looks right for a Presta valve in the image. Looks like it can unscrew though, maybe to receive the larger Schrader valve?

it is what I also thought. Except, how does it then lock onto the valve so I can use my hands to pump. I didn't even see the ability to take a larger valve

that barbed end makes me think its better suited to the hosing coming off a compressor. should end up looking like something like this:

There's a rubber washer inside that grips the valve quite tightly. That fitting has been around for ages!

That little goody is ******* AWESOME if you own a disc and cant get in with the typical pump heads..... I cut all my floor pump heads off and fit either that or just leave the rubber hose as is, its great to just squeeze over the valve especially on Deep sections or TT Disc that has a small opening to access the valve.
