After my SECOND Serfas died, I switched to the Knog.

The Serfas is much more bright but it CANNOT handle rain.

Serfas is k@k! My R489 one also stopped working for no reason.

A bit of an old post I know, but which knog blinder are you all referring to?

Because of the responses to this post, I'm looking at two, attached, blinder 1 and blinder 4 Cross @R290 and R435 respectively.

Presumably the 4 Cross is better as it's 4 x 11 lumens as opposed to 11 on the Blinder 1. Thoughts?

For me, being visible from behind in full daylight with an ultra bright light is crucial.

I have this one.

They all are pretty good - I just liked the four lights for maximum effect. Also keeps a charge forever it seems...

A red flashing light on the back of the helmet is very effective...my sister has a Met helmet with one attached...it also doesnt bother the cyclist behind you while riding in a group (i know you not suppose have it flashing while riding in a bunch) ...it makes you a lot more visible especially if you have both...seat post and helmet.

I want to get a blue flashing light...for the front and back ...especially for riding early in the morning when all the drunks are heading home...they see a blue flashing ...they will pay attention.

A helmet mounted light is a great idea.

On my old helmet I could mount one of these.

There is no space on my new one.

I would like to get these Busch and Muller Topfire lights, but cant find them here in SA.

Yes, Also use in day time. Very bright - you choose the brightness in the setup (10- 160 lumens). 4 different modes.
