It was cold! As always hard. No issues that I am aware of. I learnt a little bit more about life.

It is a long story but mainly involves a birthday party last night and 3 big cups of coffee this morning. As was mentioned it was also cold. I safely negotiated the main issues and was comfortable in the front AL bunch at 70km

when I really needed to go. The coffee came back to haunt me. I have heard that some guys and possibly some ladies can wee and ride. I tried but to no avail. I thought I could make it back to the bunch but they had a cross tail wind and I was left dangling of the back (intended) for 45km.

I was even held up on the raceway by a herd of sheep!

So besides the obvious of not drinking the coffee etc.- what is the thing to do? Stop on an uphill, downhill? Try to ride ahead? What?

Don't you like the porta-loo's they have at the starts?

Alternatively, ride to the very end of that loooong main straight, make sure there's no else close by. Unclip one foot, pretend you're stretching and let loose.

Last year's Wilro I had to stop to fix a mechanical issue. I was only stopped for 35sec, but lost 6min on the group I was cruising along with easily. If there is wind, and you need to stop, don't.

Ask someone to push you while you're busy and hope no-one attacks
