That shop has amazing service!

Is that the sarcasm font? I hung around for 20 min... took some photos for Dips of the electric pushbike, and left eventually - nobody even asked me if they could help....

If that is true, that is f*cking ridiculous. Imagine walking into a Merc dealer and telling them you want to drop more than a bar on a new AMG and they tell you that you're not a good enough driver.

Ferrari won't let you take delivery of a new Ferrari till you pass their advanced driving certificate. And they won't sell you a la ferrari ferrari unless you have owned a 288 GTO, F40, F50 or other hyper car.

I have been dealing with Centurion Cyclery since they opened store. Everyone there, from Gert to the Sergio, including Graham, are friendly, capable, eager to offer advice and always willing for a chat. Graham specifically has given me some good advice and assistance with my setup.

Since I know Graham, and not Terry T, I take the latter's accusations with a pinch of salt - otherwise too stale.

We have not heard Graham's side, but I will give him the benefit. In my opinion, Terry's just looking for a fight.... Centurion Cyclery is a good outfit, and the brand is super!

Ferrari have been known to do this...

Porsche too for that matter - for some of their models they can become VERY touchy about selling you some of the models until they know your driving capability... the nickname "widowmaker" is not a joke....

Think the original post was re service. If the seller was unaware of the crack, OP did him a favour. Re pricing, that's for the 2 of them to decide. I don't think a new frame is the same as a new bike, but from my understanding of the situation, buyer isn't keen at all on the white frame; but is interested in buying a S works frame set of his choosing, where the retailer could be making a grand or 2, as opposed to just swooping out a frame. Always try and sell up...

It's how it's being handled that is at issue here.

Yip I understand that the issue is with how Graham handled the situation. Just very interesting that he is buying it second hand of a hubber, sees the crack and tries to take a gap to get an sworks frame...

Yeah... but you don't have to pedal a Ferrari

Asking Specialized SA if i could perhaps upgrade frame replacement to S-Works frame and pay in the difference i was informed to request this from dealer, centurion-Graham just refuse to accommodate this request without any valid explanation, becoming aggressive through this discussion, stating they will never do this,

This bit is interesting. "Without any valid explanation". That suggests there could have been an explanation, but it just didn't seem valid to you...

Haters will hate.

If you think that the OP has any merit in bashing the brand you are probably a bigger tjop than what he comes over as.

PS: My stance would have been the same if it was a 'dale, a Cruz or any other bike for that matter. At least it was not a Giant Anthem, with a now-oversized headset that would constitute a fork replacement as well compared to early models.

see what I mean I state the obvious and now im a "bigger tjop" which I assume is an insult

what a bunch of classy people own spaz equipment

thanks fellow cyclist ill remember to only have an opinion that agrees with yours from now on

ever wondered why spaz has its "haters"....maybe you just showed why ..

Many people who own specialized think they've arrived.

Some do it in jest while others really believe their own bs

So he is paying the price difference between the two frames of R14000 what is wrong with that.

I disagree with the agent who replaced your frame with different colour and they should replace similar colour because of your favourite colour clothing to go with frame... Say you ride orange frame with orange shoe and orange helmet, they replace your frame with red colour. You will look funny with wrong colour or replace clothing as well.....
