jecg97 Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 Why is no one asking what speed his drivetrain is? It's probably a fair assumption that it would be an 11 speed. Jorge, what is your current setup? SRAM or Shimano 11 speed? Personally, there is a lot of safety in a double ring setup and you can do higher speeds on the flats without spinning your legs off.Thankyou. I sold my FS bike a few months before I got into the Cape Epic lottery so I'm currently training on my hardtail and my road bike. My hardtail is a 38x24 front with 11-36 rear. I know the Epic is a FS race so I'll be buying a new bike soon (I was planning on anyway). The reason I ask the question is because a lot of the brands (at least in the US) have moved to single chain ring in their top models. I have had good luck in the past with slightly used bikes on ebay instead of paying the brand new premium price. It's only that a lot of what I see available is single chain ring so that was the reason for my question.

When you come over, pack extra bug spray, pepper spray and an extra little sense of humor
