JJDT Posted October 20, 2015 Share The saying "Life is not fair" seems to be a topic of note the last two days with all the complaining....First it was about the "Cradle MTB" trail and now the "Distances of races". This is how see it...We are not all on the same level of skills, speed etc. Just look at the amount of people riding in the Cradle on a weekend...you do get the racing snakes, the intermediate riders and then the slower riders everybody enjoying themselves. Most people are influenced by what they see...so they see the guys on the side of the road on their MTB's enjoying themselves...next time they will try it and what better way to have a nice flowing track for the beginner. Distances think of it this way the shorter the distance the better the result for seeding...the flip side is that the longer the distance the negative effect on the seeding.We mostly complain at some races about seeding...imagine no seeding...I will go early and take the front row spot...on the start and within 400m single track and with my avg speed of 15km/h I will hold of 70% of the riders who is much faster... There's heaps of other crap happening in life that makes it way way less fair than me being past on a climb or or....there's currently a whole list I can mention that has NOTHING to do with bicycles at all.
