I must admit,  I wanted the prevail at first but didn't like the shape of it.

Replacing my Mojito after my crash with the Kask Protone!!  Have 1 tumbling on a conveyor belt right now and should be with me on Friday.

Cant get used to the styling on that helmet, looks like it was built backwards!!

Crown cycles were selling off some last season Vertigo's for a good price when I was in there the other day.

Helmet wise I'm looking to replace my Lazer at the moment and have been reading a lot of reviews. I like Rudy, I think the build quality is good but they always feel bulky. Lazer light, good fit but doesn't have the padding in the right place and on a hot day you battle sweat in your eyes. Kask are great, fit well, not too mushroomy and just work would like the new protone... but that is coin!

That said, I've short listed down to the Bontrager Bastilla and the Mavic CXR helmet. Both aero to a degree but vented so you're not going to boil. The Bontrager gets rave reviews and I just can't find anything on the Mavic but I've always liked their style, looks like it works and nicely their whole range are on special on CRC.

Funnily enough while not 'aero' the Spez' prevail scored very well on tests in wind tunnels when looking at how aero 'normal' helmets were so who knows if the reality is worth the marketing hype.

Actually... just popped into the LBS and foolishly tried on the Kask Protone. Hands down that spanks everything for fit and comfort. I feel a major bend of the Aussi credit card coming on (always seems cheaper buying in SA with $$$$'s). Darn, knew I shouldn't have tried it on!
