Have a look at GCN how to videos, extremely clear and easy to follow, and serviced my headset and re cabled my road bike just from those videos and the gears are twice as smooth as ever before. Also tells you what tools you will need in the beginning , which is cool.

GCN and MTBR are great for that stuff.

Check out GMBN for the MTB side of things... Their videos have helped me save a few on more than one occasion. 

 

The trailside/emergency type videos are very awesome... saved me more than once on the trails

Hi

 

I have tried those sites, they very helpful and made me really want to take care of the bikes in my house, but would really want to also have a proper session with someone that can also do a hands on demonstration for what to look out for, as I am careful I might just mess things up.

 

That include proper cleaning and caring for the bikes, noticing those early signs that something needs to be replaced.  

 

Somewhere situated here in the northern subs of Cape Town.
