Need some advise on oiling, lube and crease on a DS mtb, how do you do this in the pivots? What material and method do you use? Need methods and materials that takes care of creaks and squeaks without damage and without clogging and making a muck mess.

Creaks /Greasing and oiling  always a issue ...I had a irritating  creak /click on my Scott genius...sounded like crank or seat-post or pivot bearings...Turns out its the adjustable shim on the rear shock that doesn't like to be greased...I now clean it regularly and lightly coat with a drop or two of fork oil...for a Creak free ride.

My opinion is that it is not worth the labour of removing the suspension to clean/lube a noisy bearing.  Just replace it.  Same goes for shock bushings.  I see more damage from overtightened shock bushings (trying to remove play and noise) then from wear alone.

To check for play on the shock bushings sit on your rear wheel and hold the seat post with both hands.  Sharply lift the post and you will feel if the shock mount bushes are worn.  You will feel a knock.

For the suspension bearings (assuming you don't have obvious noise) remove the rear wheel and one shock mounting bolt.  Move the rear triangle through the arc of travel.  As you get to the point where the shock usually stops the movement you will feel a click if the bearings are worn.  If the wear is really bad it feels almost like a spring.  In my workshop I would replace all the bearings if some are worn (again because the labour cost is already incurred) but on my own bike I might be a bit more selective.
