Hi Guys,

After getting back on the bike this morning for the first time in years with a new pair of shoes, pedals and cleats I quickly realized how uncomfortable and forced my position on the bike felt.

Can people please recommend where to go and their experiences of  great  bike set ups, and shoe/cleat setups......... without breaking the bank.

Look forward to getting put in the correct position with many happy km's ahead.

Thanks

Had my set up done at Cycle fit by Richard Baxter. It was money spent well as they tinkered with everything and made my riding all that more enjoyable and pain free.

Cycle fit.

they have 2 offices, one on Beyers Naude, Northcliff, other is Bryanston, same building location as Sprocket and Jack, Grant Usher. My option... nice chat with MTB'ers and great coffee.

Www.cyclefit.co.za has been praised before. I've booked with them for a setup on Monday so will let you know how it goes

They're definitely not the cheapest though BUT worth it! I went there for a fit and ended up changing pedals and cleats, handle bar and new handle bar tape as well as needing to get a smaller size shoe.

My whole riding position was wrong and Richard adjusted my seat post height by about 8cm, he also moved my saddle forward, swapped my stem to face up and then had to buy a new handle bar as I was riding with a 42cm which is why I was getting severe pain in shoulder and neck when I needed a 44cm.

Make that, Chester road Parktown North.

Oh, and Nic and Di White run their assesment and training program from there as well. You might as well get yourself fast as well.
