Ive dented my rear, but it has not affected anything. Was running too low pressure for Magalies rocks ... 1.5, they are thin, but as long as you don't bottom them out then they should be fine ...

Thanx Kraggie, running my current wheels at 1.7 rear and 1.5 front (weigh 71Kg) so it sounds like it should be fine.

Yes I'm 68kg. Running 1.6 back and front 1.4 ... but I know of some guys running even lower and being heavier. I'm just playing it on the safe side since I dented mine, and the terrain here by us can be very rocky around van Gaalens and so on.

Thanx Kraggie.

I Love riding at va Gaalen, Hakahana, buffelsdrift etc... so good to know from someone else riding the same and similar places.

Think I'm sold on the wide lighting then.

Yeah, as long as you don't go too low on the pressure, you'll be fine. Start at what you have at the moment and slooooowly reduce.

I upgraded my giant wheels to the WL's, and in the process dropped like 600g just on the rims ... and 900g going to tubeless as well.

Next upgrade is my Evo fork as well ... to a 120 Reba, when I can find a good price ...

Niiiiice. See what you can get the FIT damper for. It's a far better damper than the CTD, and shouldn't cost as much as a new reba

Next step - upgrade to FIT damper on the fork. Big upgrade at far lower cost than a new fork.

Thanx for the advise. Did not know this was possible. Do I just ask my lbs to help with this? Will also ask our friend google.

Would be nice to go with wheels and "upgrade" the fork on the cheap

Looks like I will need more explaining on changing to a FIT damper please Miles. Also, the fork on the Camber is still at 110mm, can this easily be changed to 120mm as i assume it is the same fork? Is it just a spacer?

AFAIK it will be possible to up it to 120 when you do the damper upgrade. Droo will know more. As for who to do it, I'd recommend Dave Marshall in jozi, as well as Anton Bosman of summit cycles also in jozi. Then in CT I'd strongly recommend Droo at Stoke Suspension Works. Can even send it down overnight for him to do.

Definitely wide lightnings. Extremely happy with mine. Chuck wtb vigilante &trailboss on them and you'll have no problems on rocky trails.

Xfusion also has some awesome forks. Don't know their 29er range, but the pike-equivalent got some great reviews.

Thanx will search for Droo and find out the costs.

Much appreciated

IIRC it's around R 3,500 incl a full lowers service, which would have to happen anyway.

Not bad at all, but also almost halfway to a rs revelation....is the upgrade worth it or bote the bullet for the rs?
