Carbon Frame repair Jhb

I know there are many many topics on this, but how do these places tell if a frame is really cracked or whether its paint cracks? My understanding is that some sort of xray needs to be performed?

I had exactly that dilemma (https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/154583-cracked-carbon/page-2) and although non-destructive testing eg x-ray can be done, I don't know of anyone with the kit.

In my case, the guy I took the frame to, flexed the frame and felt the 'paint crack' and felt the crack flex as well. He then removed the paint, and there was the carbon crack.

The other way to tell is.....ask Bogus! His spidey-sense was 100% accurate all the way from CT.

I can personally vouch for Greg at PG Carbon in Benoni.

He's used by all the bike shops.

Great frame re-spray / paintjob too (outsourced).

PM me for his cell.
