As much as driving is a form of escapism, still, 3600 is a bit much for me. Enjoy the scenery. Pity there is not a single tree left in Transkei to add visuals to the experience. Just multiple water-erosion evidence on the hills of Transkei.It took us 19 hours to get from pe to cape town on the last trip...we stopped off everywhere...even had dinner at delish...was worth the stop...the food there is awesome.

Even 4am breakfast and mechanic in the foyer. Bike storage etc. Tend to agree. Cullinan for me. Not too expensive when booking through Discovery Vitality and sharing with another person. Great vibe over the weekend. Free massage at the pool after the race. Mechanic in the foyer if there are last minute glitches. Range of parts ( Tubes, bombs, gloves} available at he mechanic station. The hotel provides Gu Gels, Energy bars, bananas and an early breakfast on race day.

Looking forward to this, been a while since I've been to Cpt.
