Wheelset repair/refurbishment

Hi All,

Looking for some assistance.

I ride a Silverback Space 2.0 (Full carbon & Ultegra groupset)

On a recent ride, someone rode into the back of me (nothing serious) but the rear stay paint is not chipped & slight damage to the rear wheel as well.

I am looking at getting the chips repaired & possibly getting a custom spray job done.

At the same time, was looking to get the wheelset refurbished of the scratches etc, to suit the new paint job that the frame may soon have.

Any ideas on who does wheelset repair/refurbishment? Is has a set of Mavic Aksiums.

Also, is it worth getting this done, or just getting a new set of wheels (that are not too expensive)

I am a weekend rider, Sunday mornings riding about 120kms, so nothing major, & my bike is 3 years old?

Any thoughs/suggestions will be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Depends where you are located for the spray jobs.

As for the wheels would not bother.  Depends where the scratches are?  If on the braking surface, you can smooth flat with fine sand paper.

Thanks for the reply...

Am based in Randburg, JHB, have contacted both Bogus & Cycle Art for the respray jobs.

Yes the scratches are on the braking surface, will try with fine sandpaper as suggested.
