I wanted to reply but Shaper had said it all, well done!

I can only add that on the MTB XTR Di2 I have noticed that the software upgrade made some changes to the shift mappings in that the range is more limited than previously and I can only assume it is to limit "cross-chaining"

I am sure it can be soaked in water and yes it is tough, I just prefer to limit soaking my bike. Only my MTB needs a hose when I get back from a ride (never high pressure).

BTW the jockey wheels bearings on some of the newer RD can be re-greased. Undo the jockey wheel bolts and use a small flat bladed screwdriver to remove the seal, re-grease (I use SKF LGHP-2grease) and replace the seal careful not to damage it. You can also push the shaft down and smear the grease into place.

Thanks

Can it be any USB cable with a micro plug... i'm pretty sure i did not get the USB cable and only the battery charger SM-BCR1 which uses a typical 2 prong power cable

I think you can, but not 100% sure

SM-PCE1 is a full diagnostics tool than can be used for error checks ect , this comes with a cable to plug into a e-tube plug  point ( so basically a spare junction port on the EW-90 or under the STI )

SM-BCR2 is a charger for the internal batt and can double up as a Firmware updater to but cant be used for error checks ( this comes with a cable that only can plug into the charger port on the EW-90 )

hope this helps

My set up is the TT / triathlon version and after reading this thread yesterday i had a quick look and the "junction box" that fits under the handle bars does not have a micro port as in a usb micro port, its a 2 pin port.... so still not sure what kind of cable to use... guess i'll have to troll through the shimano pages

Its a Shimano own oem part , so that all the " clever Ones" out there don't plug the wrong kinds of chargers ect into the system and then " poooff"
