Enjoy Guys!!

To everybody sleeping in the school hostel tonight, sweet dreams. Try to innore John that poeps at 2am. Gert that snores like a trooper and Gielie that loves taking a shower at 3h02 am while there is still hot water.

What a race!

Enjoy guys.

Can someone point me in the right direction please? - I'm struggling to find the compulsory packing list on the website... but it might be the nerves about being undercooked that is messing with my focus...

Not to worry - found it under Race Rules

COMPULSORY EQUIPMENT

  • Each team must carry a basic first aid kit with space blanket, plasters, and bandages.
  • Participants must be properly equipped for night riding (headlight and red tail light). Use back tail light on the ON mode as flickering can induce epileptic fits.
  • The following compulsory equipment is required and must be seen as the bare minimum to be on the bike (this will be checked):

• Basic first aid kit (with space blankets, bandages, etc).

• Windbreaker & space blanket (each rider)

• Puncture repair kit & spare tube

• Lights and spare batteries

• Whistle

  • Make sure your bicycle is in good order, especially the brakes! Participants must complete the race with the bike they started with.
  • No Bikes will be serviced at Registration
  • Wearing of HELMETS is compulsory.

Do they really check for this stuff?

Surely each rider doesn't need a 1st aid kit?

Wind breaker? Like long sleeve or gillet?

Lights etc will be in box for later
